Glass balustrade: sequence of steps.
Our own simple instructions, based on the manufacturer's instructions (27 pages) for glass balustrades with glass profile, laminated safety glass, rubber insert and rubber wedge. The 3D animation will follow. Until then, you will find all steps here in the right order.

01 Tools and materials
1.1 Lay out the power tools: cordless screwdriver and hammer drill.
1.2 For measuring and drilling: spirit level, tape measure, masonry drill bits and bits.
1.3 Have a utility knife ready for the rubber inserts.
1.4 Put on protective clothing: work gloves, safety shoes and work trousers.
1.5 Check the kit immediately for completeness and transport damage.
Caution: If anything is missing or damaged: report it immediately.
02 Substrate and drilling
2.1 Make sure the surface is level, dust-free and dry.
2.2 Transfer the pre-drilled holes of the glass profiles to the surface, 60 mm from the edge.
2.3 Drill the holes according to the anchor specification: 12 mm diameter, 130 mm deep, perpendicular to the surface (21 holes).
Tip: Variant 2 with bolt anchor: drill hole 10 mm diameter, 125 mm deep.
2.4 Vacuum out the drill holes carefully.
Caution: Observe the further technical details from the anchor manufacturer.
03 Install the profiles
3.1 Place the glass profiles on the cleaned surface: align the holes with the drill holes, level and without gaps.
3.2 Insert the anchors into the holes (21 pieces).
3.3 Tighten the anchors to the prescribed torque.
Caution: Use only the prescribed anchors: variant 1 high-performance anchor with countersunk head, variant 2 galvanised bolt anchor.
04 Rubber insert and glass
4.1 Insert the rubber inserts into all profiles: in the groove, on the outer edge of the balustrade (3 pieces).
Caution: Insert them the right way round.
4.2 If necessary, cut the rubber inserts to length with the utility knife, flush with the glass profiles.
4.3 Insert the safety glass into the profiles, side by side, and make sure it sits securely.
Caution: Observe the legally required safety measures. If necessary, add spacers between the panes of glass.
4.4 Align the glass panes with the spirit level.
4.5 Insert the rubber wedge on the inside and press it into the glass profile until the glass is firm.
4.6 Proceed in the same way with all further panes, pane by pane.
4.7 With two parallel panes, lay the wedges overlapping, also towards the glass edges, so that the pressure is spread.
05 Finishing
5.1 Insert the finishing rubbers all the way round on the inside of the balustrade.
Electrical installations (lighting) only by qualified installers. Otherwise the warranty is void. The user is responsible for correct installation and use. Observe local laws and regulations. Observe the legally required safety measures when inserting the glass.
