3.5 Roof covering: polycarbonate or glass, plus 2 mm rubber (4 mm for glass).
-
3.6 Polycarbonate only: anti-dust tape and aluminium end profile. polycarbonate only
-
3.7 Optional: LED set with spots. optional
04 Calculate dimensions
- Tape measure
- Spirit level
Parts: Example: 6060 mm wide, 3000 mm deep, 8 bays
-
4.1 Remember: the roof falls 14 cm per metre (8 degrees).
Caution: The slope always runs from the wall to the gutter.
-
4.2 Fix the height at the gutter. Example: 200 cm.
-
4.3 Set the wall profile higher: 3 m depth × 14 cm = 42 cm more.
-
4.4 Result: bottom edge of the wall profile at 242 cm.
-
4.5 Check the depth: from 4.5 m (polycarbonate) or 4.0 m (glass), the roof needs a cross beam with additional posts.
Caution: This applies if the rafters are not reinforced. With rafter inserts, 6.05 m (polycarbonate) and 5.05 m (glass) are possible.
-
4.6 Calculate the rafter spacing: (roof width − 60 mm) ÷ bays. Example: (6060 − 60) ÷ 8 = 750 mm.
-
4.7 Length of the roof covering: roof depth − 50 mm. Example: 3000 − 50 = 2950 mm.
-
4.8 Width of the roof covering: rafter spacing − 22 mm. Example: 750 − 22 = 728 mm.
-
4.9 Polycarbonate tip: multiwall sheet 980 mm + 22 mm = 1002 mm spacing from rafter centre to rafter centre. polycarbonate only
Tip: This saves you from cutting the sheets on site.
05 Insert rubber seals
- Utility knife
- Mitre saw
Parts: Rubber strips 2 mm (4 mm for glass), Rafters, Gutter, Wall trim
-
5.1 Cut the rubber strip to twice the rafter length plus 10 cm.
Caution: The rubber retracts by a few centimetres after insertion. That is why you cut it longer.
-
5.2 Slide the rubber strip into the rafter.
-
5.3 Cut off the protruding rubber at the end.
-
5.4 Cut rubber strips for the gutter and wall trim (plus 10 cm) and slide them in.
-
5.5 Check the thickness: rubber 2 mm for polycarbonate, 4 mm for glass.
Caution: For glass, use the thicker 4 mm rubber.
06 Fix the wall profile
- Metal drill bit
- Hammer drill
- Spirit level
- Cartridge gun
- Cordless screwdriver
- Trestles
Parts: Wall profile, Hammer-in plugs, Silicone, Sealing tape (Compriband)
-
6.1 Lay the wall profile on two trestles.
-
6.2 Pre-drill the plug holes: first hole at 10 cm, then every 50 cm.
-
6.3 Hold the wall profile at the calculated height and align it level with the spirit level.
Caution: Bottom edge at 242 cm in the example. Use your own height from chapter 4.
-
6.4 Mark the drill holes on the wall with a pencil.
-
6.5 Drill the fixing holes in the wall.
-
6.6 Seal the wall profile against the wall with a thick bead of silicone. Sealing tape is also recommended.
Caution: The bead must run continuously all round. This evens out irregularities in the wall.
-
6.7 Screw the wall profile on with the hammer-in plugs.
-
6.8 Fill the joint between wall and wall profile with silicone, smooth it and seal it.
Caution: Do not skimp on silicone: the joint must be completely sealed.
07 Option: freestanding optional
- Spirit level
- Cordless screwdriver
Parts: Additional posts, Cross beam, End caps, Floor brackets, Additional screws
-
7.1 Erect the posts on the high side of the roof: with brackets on the floor or in a concrete foundation.
-
7.2 Align the posts vertically, then screw them down.
Caution: Vertical means: check with the spirit level.
-
7.3 Place the cross beam on the posts and fix it with self-drilling screws.
-
7.4 Fit the side caps.
-
7.5 Screw the wall profile level to the cross beam. Then continue as for wall mounting.
Caution: Make sure it is aligned level.
08 Prepare the gutter

- Cordless screwdriver
- Cartridge gun
- Hacksaw
- Tape measure
- Trestles
Parts: Gutter, Leaf guard, End caps for gutter (2), Stop angles (9), Silicone, Screws 4.2 × 19 mm
-
8.1 Lay the gutter on the trestles.
-
8.2 Drill the hole for the water outlet: hole saw 68 mm, 55 mm from the edge and from below. At both ends.
Caution: With a roof overhang, this dimension is not used: the hole is then drilled in the centre.
-
8.3 Detach the leaf guard and shorten it by 5 mm.
Caution: With a roof overhang, the leaf guard is not shortened.
-
8.4 Inject silicone into the gutter ends.
-
8.5 Insert the leaf guard into the gutter.
-
8.6 Fix both end caps with screws 4.2 × 19 mm. Do not yet screw the point marked X.
Caution: The fourth screw only goes in at the very end (chapter 16).
-
8.7 Seal the end caps with silicone.
-
8.8 Screw on the first stop angle: curve facing up, 30 mm from the gutter edge to the centre of the hole.
-
8.9 Calculate the spacing: (roof width − 60 mm) ÷ bays. Example: (6060 − 60) ÷ 8 = 750 mm centre to centre.
Caution: The same calculation applies later to the rafters.
-
8.10 Screw on the remaining stop angles (8 ×) at the calculated spacing.
09 Option: LED spots optional
- Hole saw
- Cordless screwdriver
Parts: LED set (spots, cable)
-
9.1 Determine the position of the spots on the rafters.
-
9.2 Drill the holes with the hole saw: diameter 29 or 44 mm.
-
9.3 Run the cable through the rafters and lead it on the wall side to a power connection. This only happens once you have reached the posts.
-
9.4 Insert the spots only once all rafters are installed. This way they are not damaged.
Caution: Electrical installation only by qualified installers. Otherwise the warranty lapses.
10 Gutter and side beams
- Props
- Cordless screwdriver
- Spirit level
- Tape measure
- Ladder
Parts: Props, Side beams (2), Screws

-
10.2 Lay the gutter on the props.
Caution: Lift and lay down in pairs only.
-
10.3 Align the gutter level.
-
10.4 Insert the first side beam: slide the square-cut corner into the gutter and the mitre into the wall profile.
-
10.5 Insert the second side beam in the same way.
-
10.6 Fix the side beams under the wall profile with 2 screws each.
-
10.7 Fix the side beams to the gutter with 2 screws each.
-
10.8 Check squareness: the two diagonals A and B must be equal in length.
Caution: Very important: only a square frame can be roofed cleanly later.
11 Shorten the posts
- Tape measure
- Cordless screwdriver
- Mitre saw
- Hammer drill
- Spirit level
Parts: Floor profiles (U-profiles), Posts (3), Screws for the floor (not in the kit)

-
12.3 Slide the PVC bend into the drilled hole and turn it inwards.
-
12.4 Insert the drain pipe into the post and connect it to the bend.
-
12.5 Carefully lift the gutter a little and let the leaf guard sink into the drain pipe.
Caution: Work in pairs. Lift the gutter only slightly.
-
12.6 Slide the posts over the U-profiles: first post 1, then 2, then 3.
-
12.7 Fix each post to the gutter with 2 screws: first the outer one, then the middle, then the second outer post.
